Things finally seem to be moving again. I was in Tampa working with recording artist Manny D for almost 2 weeks, in the house of Lastings Milledge, a baseball player in Washington. Now I am back in Brooklyn and back on the streets trying to get this project where it needs to be.

You might see a guy with an afro that looks pretty much exactly like me as an extra in the upcoming Notorious BIG movie coming out soon, featuring Angela Bassett and Derek Luke. I have no idea who this guy is, and also have no idea how i know this information ;)

TIME TIME TIME

As i comtemplate how this project will reach the people...the one thing thats a constant in this equation is money. Money. Money. I need money. I haven't updated this blog as much as i would have liked as of recent only because im busy either makin beats or trying to get money. Ive slept on a couch for a long time now, and its not bad. Its not about getting myself dough in that sense, its about being able to put this project out the way that feel it needs to be. We have alot lined up. Being a composer is fun, man but rallying a team of people to work for you aint at all...whether theres money involved or not. I have talked to several graphic designers, agreed on pricing and everything, only to be let down buy inconsistencies, flakiness, and straight up slacking. And this has happened in many other facets putting together this project man. Sometimes i wish it was JUST about the beats...but i can't wish that all the time...because im in love with the process of a beat becoming a song, and then an album, and then a product, and then a movement. I just need some help man. Waiting on people is kinda depressing. I guess thats the nature of this game though. I aint complaining. Just know that this sh*t is dropping, and you wont be disappointed. Shouts to all those who believed from Day One.

Wu-Tang Mansion Vol. 2

Finally a day off...well, not a day, but some hours. After the recent tour (videos coming soon), things been hectic. Producing for a lot of artists, and keeping the lights on...while trying to gain capital to lift this project off the way i want to.

Officially doin' shows.

Just got back from Tallahassee at Club Down Below doin' a show. That was my first BlakOut show in years. The travel there wasnt far from Orlando. We got there, met up with my man Mardigan and jumped in with a couple drinks on the house. The venue was dope. Obviously beneath the surface, it had a nice bar, pool tables and all. A group named Cross Breed opened up and set off the night. Those are some good dudes, and they held down the stage correct. After that, my man Am I Am went on, and killed it. We did a song no one has ever heard before, that we prepared specifically for these shows. I think it worked. I hope so. And yeah...so i got a chance to hear some extended fam for the first time live, my man Arsun Fist, and all i gotta say is wow. I look forward to hearing a lot more from this guy. BlakOut then proceeded to the stage to do what we do. I wont speak on us, if a video surfaces, it should speak for itself. Big shout out to the whole crowd out there, all the people i met, Sin, O Plex, Mardigan, and everyone i met.

I've been thinking of leaking the complete tracklist, but i'll wait atleast another week or so before i do that. Its comin out crazy...and i aint just sayin that cuz its my project. Man. So....Im here at Quad, just got my Sesame Chicken from the chinese restaurant. These fools..lol...man.....ok...so the delivery guy comes up to studio c, where im chillin, gettin ready for Steele and Yuk to come thru. This man gives me my food...the total was 6.80. I gave him 8 dollars man. 8 dollars. This man has the nerve to tell me, "thats not a good tip." Thats atleast what he was trying to say in his broken english. "Not a good tip, only 1 dollar!" I told him "heres a good tip, get an education bruh. Or intern here at quad." This is some 45 year old man riding a bike around manhattan. Get outta here wit that son.
They start demanding more money now?? It aint like i didnt give him a tip at all, he wanted MORE money. My assistant for the night, Corey, was lost as well.
