MidaZ's month long trip just ended. He went back to Ozone Florida with a finished Pete Rock Vs MidaZ mixtape thats just crazy. Imma put the intro up on my music player pretty soon. I've completed 4 projects this year, and im tired...but who cares right? I dont. We just gettin started.

Ive have put up the intro to the Pete Rock VS MidaZ mixtape on the music player without anyone's consent. This means that MidaZ or Conshus may find out its up and ask me to take it down...who knows. So it may not be there for long.

So i got up wit Roc thru Mic Geronimo. He was tellin' me stories about how this cat would record whole albums in 34 minutes. Im exaggerating, but damn the work ethic is not a game wit Roc. 4th of July is known as Independence day to Americans. Its also known as Grandad's birthday to Tzar and I. This day is also they day that, in 2008, MidaZ and IMAKEMADBEATS finished recording the songs for NIGHTMUSIC....in an 13 hour session at Quad that ended at 10 am the morning of the 4th. I got home, and slept for just under 3 hours. I couldn't sleep anymore. I was too excited, and began the arrangements and premixing setups. Midaz was in the next room sleep, came in, and told me to go back to sleep, but it was too late.

MidaZ and I have been in the streets or the lab daily. Its been nothing but networking, recordings, plotting and scheming. One of my cousins called the cops on me over some BS the other day. Im glad hes gone back to where the #()& he came from, and *(^# the POLICE...too. Its been a crazy ass last 7 days. Before that was all peaceful and easy working. Im not sure what happened, but everything is going sideways. Stress life.

Things finally seem to be moving again. I was in Tampa working with recording artist Manny D for almost 2 weeks, in the house of Lastings Milledge, a baseball player in Washington. Now I am back in Brooklyn and back on the streets trying to get this project where it needs to be.

Random News.
You might see a guy with an afro that looks pretty much exactly like me as an extra in the upcoming Notorious BIG movie coming out soon, featuring Angela Bassett and Derek Luke. I have no idea who this guy is, and also have no idea how i know this information ;)

TIME TIME TIME

As i comtemplate how this project will reach the people...the one thing thats a constant in this equation is money. Money. Money. I need money. I haven't updated this blog as much as i would have liked as of recent only because im busy either makin beats or trying to get money. Ive slept on a couch for a long time now, and its not bad. Its not about getting myself dough in that sense, its about being able to put this project out the way that feel it needs to be. We have alot lined up. Being a composer is fun, man but rallying a team of people to work for you aint at all...whether theres money involved or not. I have talked to several graphic designers, agreed on pricing and everything, only to be let down buy inconsistencies, flakiness, and straight up slacking. And this has happened in many other facets putting together this project man. Sometimes i wish it was JUST about the beats...but i can't wish that all the time...because im in love with the process of a beat becoming a song, and then an album, and then a product, and then a movement. I just need some help man. Waiting on people is kinda depressing. I guess thats the nature of this game though. I aint complaining. Just know that this sh*t is dropping, and you wont be disappointed. Shouts to all those who believed from Day One.
