The Evolution of IMAKEMADBEATS

It all started with Theo, who is now Marco Polo's manager. "Yo son, imma start callin you mad beats, cuz you got mad beats" . I would respond with " I make mad beats kid".

Years later.... I drew something...bored in a college class with a blind teacher.



I thought it was cool. I took a digital picture of it and thought nothing of it. Before I knew it I was obsessed with this picture....and found the ink in the page literally reaching out to me. It reminded me of Venom's alien symbiote on spiderman. I heard another producer's wack beat and the ink ran away.

Months later, i woke up to this picture in my email:


It was from my man Alucard of Creative Juices. The message said "yo NeeM heres the drawing you wanted me to do. This is just a test run to make sure i got the idea down. Yo son, you ok? when you called me to tell me about this sh*t you sounded mad crazy...kinda possessed or somethin man. Hit me up. Wu Mansion."

Til this day i have no idea of what phone conversation hes talking about. I printed the picture out, and the ink on the page squirmed and made sounds as if it was missing a limb..like someone had cut off its arm or something.

Weeks later, I get another email from Alucard. "yo NeeM..here you go, iight man!! damn fam...now you can leave me alone. You need to get some help fam. I knew somethin was wrong with you when u appeared at the crib at 4:30am and had somehow climbed to our balcony to ask me for this drawing!! you wild kid!! get help!" I had no idea again what he was talking about. I did notice however that my nights were longer than before.
This was the drawing he sent:


The dark image some how changed me. It was I and I was it. It said on its face the answer to every question someone ever asked me.

It became my existence.

It told me me that its cousin was Maximum Carnage. Shout out to him.

MidaZ's month long trip just ended. He went back to Ozone Florida with a finished Pete Rock Vs MidaZ mixtape thats just crazy. Imma put the intro up on my music player pretty soon. I've completed 4 projects this year, and im tired...but who cares right? I dont. We just gettin started.

Ive have put up the intro to the Pete Rock VS MidaZ mixtape on the music player without anyone's consent. This means that MidaZ or Conshus may find out its up and ask me to take it down...who knows. So it may not be there for long.

Roc C and IMAKEMADBEATS

So i got up wit Roc thru Mic Geronimo. He was tellin' me stories about how this cat would record whole albums in 34 minutes. Im exaggerating, but damn the work ethic is not a game wit Roc. We started building on the song he did with me on IMAKEMADBEATS...and its a wrap after that. Songs jus started ending up done outta nowhere. If you dont know the homey...learn him.

4th of July is known as Independence day to Americans. Its also known as Grandad's birthday to Tzar and I. This day is also they day that, in 2008, MidaZ and IMAKEMADBEATS finished recording the songs for NIGHTMUSIC....in an 13 hour session at Quad that ended at 10 am the morning of the 4th. I got home, and slept for just under 3 hours. I couldn't sleep anymore. I was too excited, and began the arrangements and premixing setups. Midaz was in the next room sleep, came in, and told me to go back to sleep, but it was too late.

MidaZ and I have been in the streets or the lab daily. Its been nothing but networking, recordings, plotting and scheming. One of my cousins called the cops on me over some BS the other day. Im glad hes gone back to where the #()& he came from, and *(^# the POLICE...too. Its been a crazy ass last 7 days. Before that was all peaceful and easy working. Im not sure what happened, but everything is going sideways. Stress life.
